Hi Quad,

I am a member of the Laughing Devil's clan, the ones that usually play Sniper Elite II.  Members of the clan was wondering how your were doing and if everything was alright?  If you get this post, email me back or just hop on one of the Clan's games.  Everyone would like to hear from you.

Hey quad!

Tried to think of a way to write this without sounding condescending but my words are failing me friend. I'm a 20 year old wow player from the UK who has been brought up by his tetraplegic father and as a result i'm very familiar with your situation. Its not often that I cry mate, its been a good few years since I last cried but watching the clip of you playing on your site really did make me tear up a bit. Its honestly just really humbling to watch the obstacles you've overcome just for the sake of enjoying yourself! Gonna hopefully take a few of your techniques and get my dad into the game!

Keep on raiding bud, hunter master race forever.

Hello,

I work as a staff member for a quad that has no control of his arms. He would really like to play WOW but I am stumped as to how he would navigate through the game with out the use of his hands. Any help or advise as how to get him started gaming would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks R

Hi Quad!  Just wanted to say thanks for posting all your info!  I raided in WotLK before I retired from WoW.  I have a peripheral neuropathy (arms and legs), and I have trouble co-ordinating mouse and keyboard when I play games.  My fingers stop working when I over-use them, so it's difficult to play for long stretches, too.  I never really thought about looking into alternatives to my hardware setup until I stumbled across your interview on joystiq.  I've just ordered myself a Strategic Commander, which looks absolutely perfect for how my hands work, since I won't have to stretch for keys any more.  I've recently started playing GW2 with my partner, but I've been frustrated that I haven't been able to keep up - really buzzed about trying some new things to even the playing field!  Thanks for the inspiration :D

My trackball mouse (right hand side) does my mousey stuff (point, click so on) The Commander should be looked at as more of a programmable joystick I use for movement only. If I push forward or back, I go in that direction. left or right is strafing, not turning. that I do with my keyboard. Hope that helps.

I just wanted to say how great your site is, how awesome you are- and ask a question (be patient I'm a bit of a noob). I am trying to help a friend setup their computer to play WoW (he has a similar injury/abilities as you). Based on your setup, I see you use 2 mice- this is going to sound dumb, but how do you configure your computer/game to do that? Also, you mention that your strategic commander mouse if for movement/stafe but what do you use the trackball for?

Hey Quad!

I was just listening to thehuntingpodcast featuring Michelle Morro (misspelled?) and your name came up. My eyes got really big and I looked up and yelled, "I'm not the only one"!  I immediately stopped the podcast and searched for you on the WoW forums and low and behold, there you were, and here I am.

I am a C6/C7 quad and have been since 2002.  I started playing WoW I'm guessing around seven years ago very casually.  I never really communicated with people in-game. I just enjoyed the world of Azeroth and being a noob.  The past two years or so, I have learned to play the game as an amateur noob clicker, doing average in LFR content, learning raid mechanics and what not, and even jjoining a casual guild, which turned out to be a good change in WoW.  Through the years, I have always played a hunter (Spinergy) and I really want to take my game to the next level, and even possibly join a raiding guild!

I'd like to know more about you and how you play WoW and how you were introduced to this amazing game! Please drop me a line whenever!  Glad too see I'm not the only quad out there playing WoW everyday!

Hey Quad one of your friendly local healers here, Bog pointed me in your direction, so I thought I'd leave my mark on your website, because this is just too wonderful not to comment on. This website really is a fantastic setup you have got going here, because I bet you get a lot of questions about how you play etc, (probably the same ones too). Anyway I'm really proud to have you on our team, you truely are a great player, and not hard to heal either, even though you play a hunter. :P (jking) Anyway Catch ya in the game!

Hey Quad!

I was checking the guild recruitment forums for a hunter and came across your post. I'm amazed by you. You really are an inspiration!

I can't tell if you've already been scooped up but I'm really interested in talking to you. My guild is a horde 10 man guild. We're currently 1/13 heroic. We raid Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays 7:30-11:30pm EST. We're focused on progression but we also like to have fun while we raid. If you're as good as you say you are and your sense of humor is as always as good as it was in your forum post, I think you could be a good fit for us and I'd like to chat with you and try you out.

You can get ahold of me in game at Regza#1671. Even if you're not looking for a guild anymore I'd still love to chat with you. You're my new hero! Keep being awesome :)
